Our overall aim is not only to provide these women with basic necessities and health education, we also want to show them how they can start their own businesses, so that they are empowered and well equipped to raise their children without the stress of poverty. We are cognisant of the fact of the challenges faced in motherhood in the slums and villages of Uganda, and that not all mothers have the same privileges. As such with the proceeds from THANK YOU MAMA, we do give back to the motherhood by;
i) Visiting less privileged mothers and providing them with necessities which they lack, such as clothes, food, and basic toiletries. We did carry out the community outreach work after our first ever event. Then we hand delivered parcels of basic food and necessities in Kamwokya, a slum in Kampala, Uganda and at Sanyu babies home (orphanage). We took packages to these mothers thanking them for the great work they do.
ii) Using parts of the proceeds in helping children born with defects/ disabilities.
iii) To motivate other women to become mothers since children are a blessing from God. We aim to reduce the number of abortions and abandoning of babies.
iv) To appreciate mothers and celebrate motherhood.
v) To motivate young mothers, single mothers and other struggling mothers never to give up (female empowerment)
vi) To educate mothers on matters of health, wellbeing and entrepreneurship.
