Our Focus
We help struggling impoverished mothers who are living in slum areas and villages of Uganda by providing them with food and basic toiletries. We also provide them with basic health education so that communities can break the cycle of unnecessary illness by empowering women and children of all ages to live a healthy life based on the knowledge and guidance that we provide in our local community workshops.
"I was born in Uganda, and spent most of my childhood years in Kamwokya. Therefore, I am well aware of the fact that Uganda does not have a National Health System (NHS), where your medical bills are paid for regardless of your financial status. This often means that the difference between life and death is money. A lot of the women living in the slums and villages throughout Uganda, cannot afford medical bills and expenses. It is essential for these women to learn the most basic of health information that they can take back to their homes, and educate their families, in order to improve the quality of health for themselves and their children, with the aim of preventing illness and disease."
